Regulations

During the playing times of the games, the rules and regulations for field soccer put forth by the KNVB (royal Dutch football association) will be thoroughly applied and obeyed, except for these exceptions:

- Each team will include one goalie and seven field players, either guys and/or girls
- Games will be played on half-sized fields
- The ball will be passed back into the game, rather than the usual throw-in. You cannot score directly.
- No tackling
- In case of fouls, you will not be carded but will be dealt a “time-out”
- A “time-out” will usually last 5 minutes, but if occurred repeatedly, a referee can choose from the following options:
1. Recurrence of foul will lead to a “time-out” of 5 minutes
2. Prolonging the time-out to 10 minutes
3. Exclusion for the rest of the game or a longer period of time

If the third option is chosen, the sanctions will be decided by the referee, after discussion with the tournament committee, and the period of time will also be determined.

- Teams can interchange players as often as desired
- Games last 20 minutes whereby each team stays on the same half for the entire game
- Teams are expected to show up 5 minutes before the games
- The tournament committee will mark the beginning and the end of each game with use of a loud signal.
- If a team fails to show up after the first 5 minutes of the game the referee can appoint a 3-0 win for the team that did show up.
- If the team jerseys can cause any confusion, the “home” playing team (first mentioned team) must use other shirts, provided by the committee.

Also to be taken into consideration…

- The tournament officials have the right to change the game agenda under certain circumstances.
- Beer can only be drunken in plastic cups if outside
- Please keep the area tidy by using the garbage bags and containers. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES!
- Keep the locker rooms tidy!
- It is not advised to keep any personal items of value behind in the locker rooms. The tournament committee cannot take responsibility for lost items.
